Detailed itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival at Kigali Airport and transfer to Nyungwe National Park
On the first day of the 5 day double chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda, you will meet up with the guide at Kigali Airport and you will exchange greetings. After the greetings, you will then go through the itinerary with the guude6and you set off to Rwanda art museum. At Rwanda art museum, there are a variety of paintings and sculpture that will ease your learning of the history, culture and traditions of Rwanda. You will tour with the guide around this museum and then get transferred to Kimironko market fir a brief visit and you interact with the locals there. You will get the opportunity to purchase souvenirs and some of these include the art pieces, handbags, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and many more. The guide will then lead you to a hotel in Kigali to eat lunch after your lunch meal, you will be transferred to Nyungwe National park. Upon arrival, you will check into a lodge and take a bath. After freshening up, you will have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 2 : Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk
On the second day of the safari, you will have breakfast and then a guide will transfer you from the lodge to the park offices for briefing. You will have a chimpanzee trek on day 2 and after being briefed about it, you head with a ranger guide to the forest to find the chimpanzees. The chimpanzees are located depending on their location in the forest and it may take you some hours searching fir them. You will have only one hour with the chimpanzees and after the one hour you spend with the chimpanzees while gathering information about them and taking pictures of them, you will head back to the lodge with the guude5and you will be served lunch.
You will spend some time at the lodge relaxing after lunch and in the late afternoon, you will head with the guide to the park offices for briefing and you head for a canopy walk afterwards that will start at 3pm. You will spend about 2 hours conducting this activity on the suspended bridge while having amazing views and experiences if this park. This bridge is about 160m long and 70m high. You will after this activity get transferred to the lodge for your bath, dinner and night rest.
Day 3 : Transfer to Gishwati Mukura national
On the third day of the 5 days double chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda, you will have breakfast at the lodge in Nyungwe National Park and you will check out of the lodge. The guide will then transfer you to Gishwati Mukura national park and on your way to the park, you will ha5a stop over at Butare national museum. At this museum, you will learn about the history, culture and traditions of Rwanda with the help of the guide. You will then head for lunch at a hotel. After lunch you will then proceed with the journey to Gishwati Mukura national park and once you get there, you will get5a lodge6, check in, have a shower and have dinner. After dinner, you will head to bed for your night rest

Day 4 : Chimpanzee trekking and a nature walk
On the fourth day of the 5 days double chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda, you will have your breakfast and head for briefing with the guide. After being briefed by the park guides, you will head for a chimpanzee trek and this trek will take you about 2 to 6 hours. In this period, you will also have an encounter with other primates and other wildlife species. You will have only one hour with these chimpanzees and you will utilize this time to capture moments and also make your inquiries about the chimpanzees from the guide. After the experience, you will then head with the guide to the lodge and you have lunch.

A guide will transfer you from the lodge after you are done having lunch. You will head to the park headquarters and you will have an interaction with the guides about the nature walk before you head for it. They will give you a ranger guide to accompany you on this nature walk and while on the nature walk, you will get the opportunity to see the waterfall and you will also have a glimpse at the various vegetation types in this park. You will have encounters with numerous animals and birds while walking through the trails and after the nature walk, you will head to the lodge for dinner and you head fir your night rest.
Day 5 : Transfer to Kigali airport
On the last day of the 5 days double chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda, you will have breakfast at the lodge in gishwati mukura national park and you will link up with the guide after leaving the hotel. The guide will transfer you to Kigali with a brief visit to Kigali genocide memorial. These memorial grounds will enable you see the remains of the participants in the Rwanda genocide and you will also learn more details about the 1994 Rwanda genocide. The guide will then take you for lunch in a hotel in Kigali and there after you will be transferred to Kigali airport.
