A 3 days Nyungwe Forest tour takes you to southwestern Rwanda, where Nyungwe National Park is positioned. This park is within the Albertine Rift Valley, and the park tour will take you on a Rwanda safari adventure. You will embark on a search for the Rwanda chimpanzees and also get the opportunity to engage in a Nyungwe canopy walk at the suspended bridge.

Tour description of the 3 days Nyungwe Forest Tour
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali Airport and transfer to Nyungwe National Park
You will meet with our company representative at Kigali Airport, and you will first discuss the tour. After, you will leave Kigali Airport and head to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. You will tour around this museum as you see the remains of those who engaged in the 1994 Rwanda genocide. You will learn about the history of the genocide, and then the guide will transfer you to a hotel for lunch.
Once you are done with lunch, you will head to Nyungwe National Park. You will check into a booked lodge upon arrival. You will have dinner at the lodge, and you will retire to bed.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and a canopy walk
You will have breakfast in the morning, and after breakfast, you will leave the lodge, and the guide will lead you to the park headquarters. You will go through a briefing session with the park guides about chimpanzee trekking safaris, and you will leave the park headquarters with an armed ranger guide and head to the forest for chimpanzee trekking Rwanda. You will search for the chimpanzees with the aid of the guide, and it will take you from 30 minutes to 4 hours while searching for them. After spotting them, you will spend one hour with them in their natural habitat. You will observe them feed, play and much more. You will then head back to the lodge.
You will have lunch at the lodge. When you are done, you will be transferred from the lodge by a guide, and you will head to the suspended bridge for a canopy walk. The bridge is about 70 m high and 160 m long. You will spot several primates and birds. You will head back to the lodge after spending about 2 hours at the canopy walk. You will have dinner in the evening, and you will retire to bed.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali Airport
You will have breakfast at the lodge in the morning. The guide will transfer you from the lodge after you are done with checking out. You will travel back to Kigali, and upon arrival, you will visit Kimironko market. At Kimironko market, you will purchase some commodities of your choice and also interact briefly with the locals that you will meet there. You will then head to a hotel for lunch. After lunch, you will be dropped off at Kigali Airport.
