Detailed Itinerary
You will be picked up from a hotel in Kigali, and you will be transferred to Nyungwe National Park. You will arrive at a briefing session about chimpanzee trekking, and then you will set off to the forest with an armed ranger guide. You will search for the chimpanzees, and depending on their location, it may take you about 30 minutes to 4 hours. You will spend 1 hour with them after spotting them. You will observe how they feed, play and much more. You will then head back to the park headquarters.
You will have lunch, and after that, you will go for a Nyungwe canopy walk that will take approximately 2 hours. You will conduct it at the suspended bridge, which is 160 m long and 70 m high. You will have views of wildlife and Nyungwe Forest from the suspended bridge. You will then head back to the park headquarters and meet the driver guide who will drive you back to Kigali.
