This is a 4 days chimpanzee habituation and golden monkey trekking in Rwanda that will take place in Nyungwe National Park and Volcanoes National Park. Chimpanzee habituation will be held in Nyungwe National Park, where you will meet the chimpanzees for about 4 hours and get to know vital information about them.
You will then conduct the Rwanda golden monkey trek in Volcanoes National Park. This Rwanda safari is fit for those interested in primate watching. You will also engage in a hike to Dian Fossey’s Tomb while at Volcanoes National Park. You will have a city tour in Kigali on day 1 of the safari, where you will tour the Rwanda Art Museum and Kimironko market.

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali Airport and transfer to Nyungwe National Park
When you arrive at Kigali Airport, you will be picked up by a Chopper Tour and Travel representative guide who will take you on a tour to the Rwanda Art Museum, and then you will head to a hotel in Kigali for lunch after the Rwanda Art Museum visit. You will then visit the Kimironko market after lunch. After the market visit, you will head to Nyungwe National Park, and you will arrive there in the evening. You will check into a lodge, have dinner, and then retire to bed.

Day 2: Chimpanzee habituation
Very early in the morning, you will have a cup of coffee at the lodge, and then you will be transferred to the park headquarters with a packed lunch. You will be briefed about the Rwanda chimpanzee habituation at the park headquarters. After the briefing, you will be given an armed ranger guide to go along with you to the forest for chimpanzee habituation. You will search for the Rwanda chimpanzees, and depending on their location, you will take approximately 2 to 4 hours to find them.
You will spend several hours with the chimpanzees in their habitat as you observe them feed, play and do much more. You will see how these chimpanzees are made used to human presence. You will then get pictures of them and then get back to the lodge. You will relax at the lodge, have dinner and then retire to bed.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and a hike to Dian Fossey’s Tomb
An early morning cup of coffee will be served to you at the lodge, and then, you will check out of the lodge. You will then be transferred to Volcanoes National Park. You will check into a lodge, and you will have lunch. After lunch, you will have a hike to Dian Fossey’s Tomb
The hike to Dian Fossey’s Tomb will start after the briefing at the park headquarters. After the briefing, you will start the hike to Dian Fossey’s Tomb. You will spot several primates and birds as you hike to Dian Fossey’s Tomb. You will then arrive at the Tomb of Dian Fossey. You will have views of it and learn about her history and that of the mountain gorillas. You will then return to the lodge. You will have dinner at the lodge, and then you will retire to bed.

Day 4: Golden monkey trekking and transfer back to Kigali Airport
You will have a golden monkey trek on the last day of the safari. You will start with an early morning cup of coffee, and then you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will then start the golden monkey trek that will take about 30 minutes to 4 hours to find them. After finding them, you will have one hour with the golden monkeys, observing them. You will then be led back to the lodge. You will check out of the lodge after having lunch.
The guide will transfer you to Kigali Airport, and you will catch your flight.
