Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali Airport to Nyungwe National Park
You will have a meet-up with our company representative at a hotel in Kigali, and you will exchange greetings. After exchanging greetings, you will be briefed about the Rwanda safari details, and then the guide will transfer you from the hotel in Kigali, and you will head to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. At the Kigali Genocide Memorial, you will have the chance to gain exposure and knowledge about the happenings of the 1994 Rwanda genocide. You will see the remains of those who engaged in the genocide, and the guides at this place will take you through all the history.
After the visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, you will head to a hotel in Kigali, and you will have lunch. Once you are done with lunch, you will head to Nyungwe National Park. You will arrive in the evening, and you will check into a lodge. You will have dinner at the lodge, and then you will retire to bed.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking, canopy walk and depart to Kigali Airport
You will be served breakfast in the morning, and after that, the guide will transfer you from the lodge to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will be given an armed ranger guide to escort you to the forest, and you will start chimpanzee trekking. You will take about 30 minutes to 4 hours searching for the chimpanzees, and once you spot them, you will have one hour with them. You will observe their movements and how they behave, and after that, you will head back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.
In the afternoon, at around 3 pm, you will go for a canopy walk that will take about 2 hours. You will have the canopy walk at the suspended bridge and will have views of primates, mammals and birds, and you will then head back to the lodge, check out and begin the journey back to Kigali.
