This is a 1 day short safari to Nyungwe National Park, where you will engage in two activities: the chimpanzee trek and a canopy walk that will expose you to numerous views of wildlife. The 1 day safari to Nyungwe National Park will start with a pick-up by a guide from Kigali and end with a transfer back to Kigali.
Tour description of the 1 day Nyungwe National Park Tour
A Chopper Tour and Travel professional driver guide will pick you up from a hotel in Kigali and transfer you to Nyungwe National Park. Upon arrival, you will be briefed at the park headquarters, and then you will go for chimpanzee trekking. The chimpanzee trek will take approximately 30 minutes to 4 hours while you are searching for the chimpanzees, but the time will depend on their location. You will spend one hour with them after spotting them. You will take pictures of the Rwanda chimpanzees, and you will observe them feed, play and much more. You will then go for a picnic lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a Nyungwe canopy walk at the suspended bridge while on a Rwanda safari. The canopy walk will take approximately 2 hours. You will be able to have views of Nyungwe Forest and several primates. You will spot several birds while at the bridge. The bridge is about 70 m high and 160 m in length. After the canopy walk, you will head back to the park headquarters, where you will set off to head to Kigali.
